Welding Inspection is a one-day eight hour course which provides an overview of the essential knowledge and skills for weld inspection. Participants will learn inspection criteria, techniques for visual and dimensional inspection and whether they are in need of further study to be adequately prepared for weld inspection responsibility or certification.

Seminar Benefits

Visual Inspection: Purpose, personnel requirements and
procedures.
II.
Welding Processes: Stick, Mig, Tig, their advantages and problems exposed
by inspection.
III.
Dimensional Considerations: Common gages such as Fillet, Bridge-Cam etc.
and their use.
IV.
Review of Common Weld Problems: Problems encountered in welding,
techniques for discovering defects and corrective action.
V.
Remote Visual Inspection (RVI): Borescopes, Fiberscopes and Video scan
scopes, their proper use and limited applications.
VI.
Hands-on practice Inspection: Ensures verification of student inspection
techniques and skills.
Morning and afternoon refreshments will be
provided. Lunch is on your own.
